We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

  • Lead Superintendent – Federal Work

    Lead Superintendent – Federal Work

    Richmond, VA

    Purcell Construction has an immediate need for an experienced Lead Construction Superintendent on a $58 Million, 600 man barracks and dining facility located at Fort Lee, near Richmond, VA. This is a two year project scheduled for completion in October 2018. This position may be project specific or long-term. The successful candidate will have experience in providing overall project site supervision on various prime general contracts.

    Compensation to include:

    •  $100,000+ salary

    Qualifications:

    •  Construction knowledge must include a minimum of ten (10) years of on-site supervisory construction experience on projects ranging in size from $5 million to $50 million dollars.

    •  Proficient with computers including MS Word and Excel.

    •  Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

    •  Work independently to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines on a routine basis.

    •  Must be detailed, assertive, persuasive, and team-oriented.

    •  OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training Course.

    •  First Aid and CPR Training Courses.

    •  Valid driver’s license required.

     

    Essential Functions:

    •  Deliver projects that exemplify high standards of quality and exceptional value while conforming to project design criteria, product specifications and schedule.

    •  Serve as the overall on-site supervisor for all aspects of construction including, but not limited to, mobilizing, layout and scheduling of work, coordinating field labor resources, monitoring subcontractors and their work, and coordinating material suppliers ensuring timely deliveries.

    •  Work in conjunction with the Contractor’s Quality Control Manager to ensure compliance with technical specifications, contract and quality requirements.

    •  Serve as the sole point of contact for the Project Manager on all matters related to on-site construction activities.

    •  Coordination of all job meetings and responsibility for monitoring and enforcing safety compliance on the project. Ensure cleanliness and safety of project site at all times.

    •  Ensure all inspections and occupancy permits are completed.

    Purcell Construction has an immediate need for an experienced Lead Construction Superintendent on a ten story, 212 unit multi-family apartment project in Downtown Richmond, Virginia. This project is just breaking ground and is scheduled to be completed summer of 2018.
