Purcell Construction was the general contractor for this 2-story addition and interior renovations to the existing Watertown Family YMCA. The addition included the construction of a poured-in-place concrete swimming pool on the 2nd floor. Other work items included concrete foundations and slabs, structural steel, brick and block masonry, single-ply membrane roof, ceramic tile, HVAC, electric, automatic fire sprinklers, plumbing, framing, drywall, acoustic ceilings, and architectural woodwork.
Purcell Construction Corp. worked closely with the Architect, Bernier Carr & Associates, during the design phase of this project to ensure that the completed design would be within the owner’s budget. At completion, project costs were $15,000 less than originally budgeted, and the project was completed on schedule.
